….or you could just play the note “F”. There’s no need to learn any other notes.

  8. juchel says:

that’s actually a pretty good lesson, you should try to explain target notes, the difference between hitting chord tones and non-chord tones

  9. ryanroolz2 says:

its just easier for beginners to see it as f dorian than c aeolian

well it is for me anyways

  10. StrifexZombie says:

dude dayum dat help A LOT
    tnxxxxxx!!!!!! :D

  11. LedgerLines000 says:

i dont know why u say “u can use f dorian” over an f minor chord instead of the c aeolian. f dorian is exactly the same notes as c aeolian. ur right about focusing on the new tonality with each chord but i mean f minor is almost the same scale as c minor

  12. rikveldhuizen says:

a string tree is just that little thingy on the guitar head that typically gives extra tension to the E and B strings so they stay on the nut better (on vid little above the Fender logo on the head).

Never tried it, but appearantly changing the string tree actually gives a different sound (more full if you use graphite) to the E and B strings..

  13. kar98ksniper says:

if u stay in Bmin pentatonic in these 3 chords,u still sound ok.there s no need to switch scales all the time

  14. yaboolagins says:

thank you, so im not crazy

  15. Heavymetalhelp says:

I have also been playing for awhile and i know music theory and etc and i have never heard of a freaking string tree. And i totally agree with you. I bet he just made it up.

  16. cgk1993 says:

Yeah I’ve been playing for a year and I don’t know wtf a String Tree is, so lay off dude, and quit being dick.

  17. yaboolagins says:

in fact i have been for four years, excuse be for not knowing what a string tree is, and instead of being a dick you could have just said so, thats the problem with people on youtube it is the most anti social site ( i know that is not its purpose) but you’d think people could be a little civil. i bet that if you asked a few guitarists what a string tree was they wouldn’t know either. what is it, there’s a start, is it that much harder to be helpful.

  18. osibalasi says:

im talking about the string tree? dont you know what that is? why not try to research.. its obvious that youre not a guitarist.. haha

  19. Wagiblues says:

you re a very talented teacher. Thanks for the lessons. (Im 60yrs. and keep learning guitar)

  20. yaboolagins says:

i dont know what ur seeing

  21. Rk17 says:

is that a circular tree on your fender dave? coz i dont think original strats have a circular string tree right?
